Pre-kindergarten and Kindergarten students are not required to comply with the dress code with the exception of Kindergarten on Chapel days.  We recognize and encourage you, the parents, to help your child in making wise choices when selecting what your child wears to school.

Kindergarten through 12th Chapel Days:
Wednesdays are Chapel days, and students are required to wear a blue polo with appropriate pants. 

Uniform: 1st through 12th Grade
All tops worn in the school must bear an approved Trinity Lutheran School logo and must be worn every school day, with the exception of special days and T-shirt Day.
The uniform shall consist of: An approved shirt, of an approved color, with an approved school logo on upper left side.
All clothing will be clean, and in good repair (no holes, tears, frayed edges, or stains).
Clothing will not be excessively worn, faded or patched.
Clothing will fully cover undergarments, and no bare midriffs allowed.
Jackets are not allowed in the classroom.
Any clothing that is considered distracting or inappropriate for the school setting will be dealt with by the classroom teacher or school principal as the need arises.
All clothing must be sized properly to the student!

Shirts:
Colors:
Navy, White, Red, Forest Green and Deep Purple
Logos:
The color of the logo must be a contrasting color to the shirt
Styles:
Polo Shirts, Turtlenecks, or Mock Turtlenecks with short or long-sleeves
Fleece Jacket
Sweat Shirt
Oxford/Button Down Shirt
V-Neck, Crewneck, or Cardigan Sweater

Girl’s jumpers may be worn without a logo printed on the jumper IF an approved shirt with logo is worn underneath.

All outer wear worn in the classroom must be in approved school colors and bear the school logo (either silk screened or embroidered).

NO caps or hoods may be worn in the school building.
A shirt with an approved logo must be worn Monday – Thursday, unless a special dress day is declared.

Pants:
Pants must be worn around the waist.
No sweat pants except during gym class.
No pajama pants.

Shorts:
Shorts are allowed from May 1st to September 30th.
Spandex and shorts with split sides are not permitted.
Shorts must be hemmed – No cutoffs/frayed edges.
The length of appropriate shorts will be determined by the pupil in a standing position extending the arms in a downward position.  Shorts must be below the finger tips. 
No gym shorts may be worn except during gym class.

Skirts and dresses:

The length of appropriate skirt or dress will be determined by the pupil in a standing position extending the arms in a downward position.  The skirt or dress must be below the finger tips. 

Chapel Days:
Wednesdays are Chapel days, and students are required to wear a blue polo with appropriate pants. 

Friday Dress Options:
Monday through Thursday guidelines or Trinity Lutheran School, Church, Camp, or LEST


Grooming:
All students are encouraged to take pride in how they dress by always being neat, clean, and well-groomed.
No extreme hairstyles or colors are allowed.
