Spiritual Life At Trinity: Partnering with Families in Christ Jesus
Educating children has been a priority of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1911 when they dedicated one room for the purpose of conducting classes for the children of the Flathead Valley. This dedication has remained unwavering and helped to promote tremendous growth at Trinity Lutheran School. The dedication of Trinity Church as allowed us to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus to many children and their families. Trinity Lutheran School has been in continuous operation since 1957 when the church called a principal/teacher.
TLS faculty and staff gather for regular prayer and devotions each morning. This time allows staff to focus on personal spiritual growth and pray for the needs of the school and its families.
Teachers integrate the Bible in subject areas and instill Christian-like behavior in all students by sharing a morning devotional and having classroom prayer time.
"I was completing a routine walkthrough in a classroom when, during a quiet work time, students spontaneously raised their voices in praise altogether as they worked. That is what Trinity is all about." - Quote from TLS faculty
Classroom Bible & Religion Courses Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade
Daily Biblical studies are rooted in both an understanding and appreciation of Scriptural content as well as application of the Word through actions. In addition to a daily Scripture lesson, students memorize Bible verses on a weekly basis in 1st through 12th grade.
Trinity Lutheran Church Family Life Ministry
Trinity is dedicated to assisting parents in building healthy families. Families are busier than ever, and it is our goal to partner in the parenting process by providing solid Biblical instruction in the areas of parenting. A master level facilitator teaches the Word of God and makes it applicable to family living.
Students attend chapel Wednesdays mornings with an on-site Pastor. The entire student body gathers together for a time of singing and praise. Classes are responsible for leading chapel lessons throughout the year. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend our chapel times.
"Knowing Jesus Through Education" Since 1911
TLS is committed to a distinctly Christian education that provides an environment emphasizing the teaching and appreciation of God's Word as it applies to students' studies and to their character. We are a ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4
The “Growing for Christ” campaign that funded the school's opening continues to be a focus of the school and its outreach into the community. Our current mission statement, “Knowing Jesus Through Education,” drives our school to fulfill Trinity’s vision:
Responding to the grace of God in Jesus Christ, we partner with families in the nurture and education of their children for service to Christ on earth and for eternity.
Outreach & Christian Leadership
When it comes to service through spiritual gifts, TLS students think locally and globally. Students have various opportunities to show the love of Christ to others through assigned and self-created service projects. These projects help students refine their spiritual gifts through more specific acts of service.
"There is one body and one Spirit - just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call - one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, through all, and in all."
